Advent, day 16

The kids are off from school for 3 weeks in a row during Christmas Days. I will have to work both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Sadly.
I know, but sometimes you have to help those who need you the most.


 
If we have some time  during the Christmas Days , usually we watch old movies, with large projector in the living room, against the wall.
This Christmas it will be this one.
I have seen it once and I liked it.
It is sooooooooo romantic, says romantic soul in me.
I will see it with my daughter, and maybe, big maybe with hubby and sons.
I can always wish...
Smile.

If you have not seen it, I really recommend it.
This is Christmas movie.
That is for sure.

Deň Svätej Lucie

Advent, deň 15.


Deň Svätej  Lucie sa oslavuje   13. decembra.  Jej sviatok sa raz zhodoval so Zimným slnovratom, čo bol najkratší deň v roku.
Sviatok Svätej Lucie sa  tak stal festivalom  svetla.

Základ modernej oslavy Lucie , pochádza zo západného Švédska.
V  skorých ranných hodinách príde Lucia so svetlom - sviečkami- vo vlasoch , nesúca  kávu a koláčiky. Najstarší opis oslavy Lucie  vo Švédsku je z roku 1764,  z okolia  Horn , ktoré  sa nachádza severne od mesta Skövde.

Lucia je slávi tradičnou  procesiou, kde  Lucia  je hlavnou osobou  a je nasledovaná družičkami  a hviezdnymi  chlapcami  (a niekedy pernkovými  figúrkami ), ktoré predstavuju  šírenia svetla a radosti svojími sviečkami  a svojimi krásnymi  piesňami.

Sv. Lucia sa slávi v každej škole, na každom pracovisku vo Švédsku. V tento deň sa usporadujú koncerty, a na sto percent sa v každej  domácnosti  jedia šafránové  koláčiky, ktoré sa tu volajú aj Lucia koláčiky a ako ste uhádli , su nazvané  podľa  Sv. Lucii.

Saint Lucy's Day is on December 13, in Advent. Her feast once coincided with the Winter Soltice, the shortest day of the year. Saint Lucy's feast day has thus become a festival of light. St. Lucy’s Day is celebrated most commonly in Scandinavia, with their long dark winters, where it is a major feast day,

In Scandinavia, Lucia is represented as a woman in a white dress and red sash with a crown or wreath of candles on her head. In both Norway and Sweden, girls dressed as Lucy carry rolls and cookies in procession as songs are sung. Even boys take part in the procession as well, playing different roles associated with Christmas. It is said that to vividly celebrate St. Lucy's Day will help to survive the long winter days with enough light.

The foundation of our modern Lucia celebration was created in western Sweden. In the castles and manors the light-filled Lucia would come with its coffee tray in the early morning.  The earliest description of a Swedish Lucia celebration in existence is from 1764 on the Horn Residence, which is located north of the town of Skovde.

Lucia is celebrated by the traditional Lucia procession of Lucia, followed by the bridesmaids and star boys (and sometimes brownies and gingerbread) that glide along and spread light, joy and a beautiful song.

Lucia is celebrated on every single preschool, school and workplace in Sweden. That day you will eat with 100% certainty Lussebullar, that are named after Lucia.

Moja obľúbená adventná hudba

Advent, deň 14.

Toto  CD je moja naobľúbenejšie, počúvam ho každý deň  počas Adventu. 
Číslo jedna , bez  konkurencie. 
Čím bližšie k Vianociam, tým častejšie počuivam aj typickú  vianočnú  hudbu, ale v tieto dni, sa hudba z tohoto CD ozýva v našom byte.

Šafránové koláče

Advent, deň 13.

(Žiaden Advent a žiadná oslava Lucie sa nezaobídu bez šafránových kolácikov.
Ok, ale ja mám písať  o anjeloch a nie o koláčoch. Aké to má spojenie s anjelmi?
Ok, nechaj ma trošku porozmýšľať...
Hmmm...
Viete čo, možeme to skombinovať takto:
Tieto koláčiky sú tak dobré,  že skoro každý, kto ich zje , obyčajne povie:
"Su anjelsky dobré" !!!
Hahaha..
Ja viem, veľmi orginálné...
( Toto sú šafránové koláče  , ktoré som piekla minulý rok  )

Šafránové koláče 25 kúskov

Potrebujeme:

1 g  šafránu
50 g  kvasníc
200 g cukru
300 ml  mlieka
1 vajce
150–200 g masla1 čl soli
750 g múky
100 g sušených hrozienok
Potrieť:
1 vajce
2 čl mlieka

Príprava

Cesto sa robí ako normalnné kysnuté cesto. Šafrán sa zmieša s cukrom a rozspustí  sa v mlieku. 
Cesto sa nechá vykysnuť asi 30 minút.
Ked je  cesto vykysnuté,  rozdeľ ho na 25 častí  a vypracuj koláčiky ako ukazuje video. 
Nechaj ich pokysnuť ešte aspoň  30 minút. Potri koláčiky rozmiešaným vajíčkom.
Pred vložením do trúby vtlač hrozienka do cesta podľa  obrázku.
Koláče sa pečú pri teplote 220°C asi 5 minút.

Baking Lussebullar

(No Advent and no Lucia celebration without Lussebullar. 
Ok, but how will that fit the word Angel into this?
Hmm .. let me think..
Ok, we can say this:
They are so good that, people who have eaten Lussebullar usually say:
"angelic good".
Smile ..
(These are my Lussebullar of last year.)

Saffron buns

Ingredients (25 buns)

1 g (1/28 oz) saffron threads
50 g (2 oz) yeast
200 g (7 oz) sugar
300 ml (1½ cup) milk
1 egg
150–200 g (5–7 oz) butter
1 tsp salt
750 g (26 oz) flour
100 g (3½ oz) raisins
Glaze:
1 egg
2 tbs water

Preparation

To make ‘Lucia cats’ (lussekatter), grind the saffron along with a cube of sugar, using a pounder and pestle. (For those who think ahead: drip a little cognac on top, and let rest a few days.) Crumble the yeast into a bowl and stir in a few tablespoons of milk. Melt the butter and pour on the milk.
Add the rest of the ingredients, except the raisins, and knead the dough in a dough mixer for 10 minutes. Carefully mix in most of the raisins, cover the dough and let it rise for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Divide the dough into 25 pieces and roll the buns in an oblong shape, about 10 cm (4 in) long. Cover them and let rest for 10 minutes, then roll them twice as long and twist the ends of each bun in opposite directions to form a sort of figure 8. Put one raisin in the middle of each half figure 8.
Place on a greased baking sheet and let rise under a towel for about 90 minutes, or until the buns have doubled in size. Bake in the oven (220°C/425°F) for 5 minutes. Beat together the egg and water, brush the mixture on the buns. Allow to cool on the baking sheet,

Dnes je deň , kedy sa udeľuje Nobelová cena tu vo Švédsku a oči celého sveta su obrátené na Štockholm.


Ale, ja nemám pisať  o Nobelovej cene ale o anjeloch. 
Hmm.. kde nájst tému a o anjeloch  a ako to spracovať na  poštu  ?
Táto výzva nie je ľahká. 
Žiadna výzva nie je ľahká a vladtne  ani nemá  byť  ľahká. Inak by to nebola výzva.
Ach  jaj...
Potrebujem pomoc...

Ok, niečo som našla.
Dnes sa zasmejeme. 
Dnes budeme mat zábavu.

Neberte to príliš vážne..

Surfovala som na Nete  a našla som tento zábavný opis znamení zverokruhu. Opisujú rozne vlastnsoti a charaktristiky ľudí narodených v určitých mesiacoch. Samozrejme, kráľom a hlavou všetkých je Lev.
Nemám k tomu  žiadne námietky. Dvoch Levov mám doma a viem o čom hovorím.

Ja som  Vodnár.
A hádajte, čo mi vyšlo, že som ?
Dobre som sa na tom zasmiala a pokrútila hlavou .
Presne  tak !!!! Vyšlo mi, že som čert !

I need help

Advent, day 12

Today is Nobel day in Sweden and world`s eyes will turn to Sweden.


But, I'm supposed write about angels.
Hmmm....where to find a theme and how to put it here in this blog post?
This challenge is not a easy one. No challenge is meant to be a easy.
Sigh.
I need help....

Today we shall have fun.

I have been browsing through the Net and found a funny description of various monthly Zodiac signs. They describe various characteristics of people born in the time-frame in witch they are born.
The natural King and best is: Leo.
No objections here.
I'm Aquarius.
And guess what I am?
Exactly !!!!

Pozemski anjeli

Advent, deň 11.

"Existuje pár vyvolených, ktorí ovplyvnia tvoj život  tym najzmysluplnejším mspôsobom. Po stretnutí  s tebou,  nechajú odtlačok svojej duše v tvojom srdci a v tvojej duši,  a od tej chvile, ty ani tvoj život  nebudete ako predtým."

To sú ľudia, ktorých voláme:

Pozemskí anjeli.. 

Anjeli nemajú krídla, tie sú  iba v našej  fantázii. Anjeli sú svetelné  bytosti, ich svetlo si ľudia zamieňajú  za kridla. Tí, čo vedia viac o anjeloch ako ja, hovoria, ze anjeli si berú na seba podobu s kridlami, keď sa nám chcu zjaviť, aby sme my ľudia pochopili, ze sú anjeli.

Anjeli, su aj ľudia ktorích stretávame kazdý deň, ľudia ktorí nám pomáhajú  byť lepšími , viac milovať seba a ľudí okolo nás, robiť  dobré veci. 
Každý jeden sme stretli aspoň jedného takého anjela v našom živote., kotry'ch si budem pamätať celý život a ktorí majú špecialne miesto v našich  srdciach. 
Ja som stretla viacero anjelov počas mojho života.
NIektorí vedia, čo pre mňa znamenali  a čo pre mňa  spravili, niektorým som to nikdy nepovedala, ako veľmi  ovplyvnili moj život  k lepšiemu. 
Pravdu povediac, je mi to teraz ľúto. Mohla  som im apoň povedať jednoduché: "Ďakujem." 

Je to možné, alebo nemožné,  byť aspoň raz v živote  pozemským anjelom niekomu na kom nam zaleží?
Nie je našou  ľudskou povinnosťou,  byt´ pozemským anjelom?
Otvorme naše mysle a srdcia
